160 Hermann Mller 160 was a German Social Democratic politician who served as Foreign Minister , and twice as Chancellor of Germany in the Weimar Republic. In his capacity as Foreign Minister, he was one of the German signatories of the Treaty of Versailles in 1919.

Hermann Mller was born onMay 1876 in Mannheim as the son of Georg Jakob Mller , a producer of sparkling wine and wine dealer from Gdingen near Saarbrcken, and his wife Karoline , originally from Frankfurt am Main. Mller attended the Realgymnasium at Mannheim and after his father moved to Niederlnitz in 1888 at Dresden. After his father died in 1892, Mller had to leave school due to financial difficulties and began an apprenticeship at Frankfurt. He worked at Frankfurt and Breslau and in 1893 joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany . Hermann Mller, a Social Democrat heavily influenced by his fatheran advocate of Ludwig Feuerbachs viewsis the only German chancellor notable for not being a member of any confession.
